Soul Band Stone Foundation To Play Shoreham's Ropetackle
Modern soul act Stone Foundation will perform at Shoreham-by-Sea's Ropetackle Arts Centre on 7 November as part of their UK tour.
Modern soul band Stone Foundation are bringing their UK tour to Shoreham-by-Sea, with a performance scheduled for 7 November at the Ropetackle Arts Centre.
The tour follows the release of their latest album, The Revival Of Survival, their 11th studio record. The band has previously achieved four consecutive UK Top 40 albums and 18 consecutive Top 10 hits on the UK Vinyl Singles Chart.
New Sound and Direction
Neil Jones, one of the band's founders, described the new material as their "funkiest to date". He explained the creative approach: "We wanted to push the sound to a different place with elements of disco, funk and house and lyrically retain the optimism you find on a Stone Foundation record. It's a joyous uplifting record that deserves to be played loud out on the dance floor."
Co-founder Neil Sheasby added his perspective on the album's character: "I feel like the whole record has a club vibe to it, it's bookended by a couple of almost ambient moments but on the whole it's a dancer."
