Texas to Play Brighton Centre as Part of 30th Anniversary Tour
Scottish rock band Texas will perform at Brighton Centre on 26 October 2027 as part of an 18-date UK and European tour celebrating three decades since their breakthrough album.
Brighton Shows Confirmed
Texas has announced a Brighton Centre concert for 26 October 2027 as part of a major tour marking the 30th anniversary of their breakthrough album White On Blonde. The band will perform across 18 UK and European dates, with Scottish rock acts Del Amitri joining as special guests for all British and Irish shows.
Album Anniversary and New Material
The tour celebrates White On Blonde whilst also marking the release of a new single titled Another Way To Cry. A special anniversary edition of the 1997 album will be released on multiple formats, including vinyl for the first time, and will feature sleeve notes by comedian Peter Kay.
The Another Way To Cry music video was shot in the Scottish Highlands and stars actor Robert Carlyle, directed by Niall Trask.
Lead Singer's Vision
Lead singer Sharleen Spiteri spoke about the band's creative approach. "It didn't feel risky because no-one at our label gave a shit," she said. "We were in Glasgow, we made the album in my house and I did all the vocals in the coat cupboard."
Spiteri explained the band's independent mindset: "It's always been us saying: We will play our own tune. If you want to jump on, great. If you hate us, fine. But this is what we want to do."
On the new single, she added that "Another Way To Cry, you could put it in the setlist tomorrow with all the hits and it'll stand its ground."
