24-hour gaming arcade planned for old London Road charity shop
Merkur Slots has applied to run an adult gaming centre in part of the former British Heart Foundation shop.
Merkur Slots, which already has a venue on St James's Street, has applied for a licence and planning permission for a unit in the former Co-op department store development on London Road. The unit is one of three being created by subdividing the former British Heart Foundation charity shop, which closed last month.
The company says the adult gaming centre would run around the clock and employ 12 staff. No decision has yet been made.
The applications can be followed on the city council's planning register and democracy pages.
