Beloved American coffeehouse Blank Street finally opens on Brighton's East Street this summer
The Instagram-famous New York coffee chain opens its first south coast location on July 11, bringing minimalist vibes and artisan drinks to the city.

"For a lot of people, Blank Street is where they go to take a break, connect with friends, switch off for a moment," Llado said. "We've built this store to feel exactly like that and it's in the perfect setting for it."
The two-floor store takes over the former Jones Bootmaker site, which closed in October last year after 60 years at the location. The new space will feature an upstairs lounge with views over the surrounding streets, creating an ideal spot for customers to relax and enjoy their drinks.

Following the store opening, the chain will extend beyond the fixed location by operating the Blank Street beach hut on Brighton seafront, where guests can enjoy a drink and take a dip in the sea. In a clever nod to the city's vibrant social scene, Blank Street is also partnering with local clubs to host evening swim sessions, with drinks available back at the store afterwards.
